9/17/2023 0 Comments Dreamweaver dipsy diver![]() The 0 setting will cause the diver to angle straight down and not out to either side of the boat. The depth setting/plane angle is measured in a sequence of numbers starting at “0” and out to “3” on the left (port) or right (starboard) sides of the boat. The Deeper Diver allows you to pick the depth and direction you want it to dive giving you the ability to get your lure away from the boat to ad more fishing rods, cover a wider area and different depths. ![]() To adjust the depth setting/plane angle turn the weighted keel dial on the bottom of the Deeper Diver to the left (port) or the right (starboard) to select the side of the boat you want it to dive and the setting for the desired depth. Setting the diver for depths and directing out to the side of the boat This also become advantageous when you want to trip the release and retrieve your lure easily with little resistance. When the wire arm is released out of the pinch mechanism, it changes the diving attitude of the diver and it no longer can continue to plane downward (dive). It is set to the optimal tension when it is tight enough that it holds in place when the pressure of water is pushing the diver down in the water while at trolling speed, but light enough that when a fish strikes the lure trailing behind the diver, that the wire arm can pull out of the pinch mechanism from the upright position. Turn the adjustment screw on the side of the pinch mechanism, clockwise to tighten and counterclockwise to loosen. When enough pressure is applied, the wire arm will overcome the tension of the pinch mechanism and will trip or release. The pinch mechanism can be adjusted to set the desired tension that holds the wire arm upright. ![]() The release mechanism can be described as two parts and is located at the front of the diver the release wire arm that swings up and down and the pinch mechanism that holds the arm upright when the diver is set to dive. It is recommended that the leader be no longer than the length of the fishing rod as you need to be able to reach the fish when landing it. Then tie a segment of lineĮnd of the leader you tie your lure, the other end is tied to the swivel located at the back of the diver. For rigging the Deeper Diver, tie your main line to the front of the diver at the swivel attached to the end of the wire release arm. ![]()
